After School Program August 30, 2015 – June 10, 2016   Fall Schedule:<\/strong> Monday – Friday 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm Premier Academy\u2019s 1st through 8th grade after school program provides tutoring to students, teaching them important study skills and efficient time management. From additional enrichment to homework help, we offer a complete range of classes to cover all of a student\u2019s possible academic needs.   <\/strong> English (1-6 grade)<\/strong> – Vocabulary – Reading – Grammar – Writing – PSAT Reading and Writing (8th or 9th grade)   <\/strong> Math<\/strong> – Basic Math (1st – 6th grade) – Algebra I – Geometry – Algebra II   Register Now for Fall 2016! Private tutoring<\/strong> Seminars<\/strong> Toastmasters International Becomes the Speaker and Leader You Want to Be! Purpose of the Program Every young person has the potential to become a good communicator and leader, but this potential needs to be developed. The program’s unique eight-session, workshop-style design enables participants to develop this potential through practical experience. The program is not in competition with school programs or courses, or other established youth projects. Instead, it’s a supplement to these programs, providing emphasis on specialized speaking and leadership skills, and individual needs.<\/p>\n

Participants learn to:<\/p>\n

  1. Overcome nervousness when speaking before an audience.<\/li>\n
  2. Organize and present ideas logically and convincingly.<\/li>\n
  3. Listen carefully to others’ ideas.<\/li>\n
  4. Offer advice to help others improve their speaking and leadership skills.<\/li>\n
  5. Participate in – and even lead – group discussion or meetings. Participants increase their self-confidence as they learn. They also make new friends and have fun. Toastmasters is an enjoyable learning experience!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
